8 Month Update

Sorry to interrupt the regularly scheduled cute photos, but we thought people might want an update that cannot be captured in images.

Anna turns 8 months old tomorrow - hard to imagine, the time has flown by. Lately she has really started to hit her stride, showing her own little personality. She smiles almost all the time, babbles constantly (remind you of anyone?), waves occasionally, and has started to roll wherever she needs to go. Just tonight she picked up a piece of cereal and ate it for the first time. It took us a week, which wouldn't be so surprising except she puts everything else she can reach into her mouth! No she hasn't solved world peace yet, figured out the quadratic equation, or balanced the budget, but she is still quite something.

So what lies ahead? We are headed to the beach for two weeks, and then awaiting the onset of fall. You can count on a barrage of beach and family photos from our time at Holden Beach, and there will be video of her crawling, probably sooner rather than later. We are also eagerly anticipating the arrival of several new playmates in the upcoming months. So you can resume your daily, weekly, or occasional trip to the blog for cute photos, we'll try not to interrupt with boring milestones too often. But you know, proud parents just have to share sometimes.
